Company History

Jeff Viegas, owner of JVASCO BUILDING CONTRACTORS,  has framed hundreds of homes across the north and south eastern United States.  Jeff has been based in Charlotte since 1997, but the story began decades ago...

The JVASCO legacy originated in Europe, where generations of the Viegas family were skilled craftsman building exquisite homes in northern Portugal.  In 1968 , Virgilio Viegas, Jeff's father,  moved to New York where for over 25 years he continued his passion for wood working and framing homes, townhouse, apartments and commercial structures.  

Jeff is continuing the family tradition of quality, skilled craftmanship in the Carolinas.  JVASCO is committed to service, client focused, and quality driven.  A specialized approach to every project, regardless of size, makes JVASCO the premier building contractor in the Carolinas.

There are many contractors,  but what truly sets JVASCO apart is that we started as actual carpenters.  Jeff started framing houses when he was just 16 years old with his father in New York.  He was taught the strength and quality of building begins with framing.  It is what gives a structure support and shape.   JVASCO believes quality is not just what the client can see in the finished product.  It has to begin with the very first component and our experience insures just that...quality from the beginning to the end.  Many builders from elite custom home builders, production builders and commercial builders trust JVASCO to frame their projects...when their reputation is on the line, they trust JVASCO!
